Anthony John James Cantor (2006-2008)
Anthony Cantor has been the British Ambassador to Armenia since January 2006. Mr Anthony Cantor started his carrier in the Diplomatic Service for the British Government in 1966 as a Desk Officer in Finance Department. He then served in Burma, Japan, Ghana, Vietnam Germany and Paraguay, where he was the British Ambassador from 2001-2005.Mr Cantor has now retired from the Diplomatic Service.
Thorhilda Mary Vivia Abbott-Watt (2003–2006)
Thorda Abbott-Watt took up the post of the British Ambassador to Armenia in 2003. Before, she acted as Charge d’Affaires in Dushanbe where she established the first British Embassy in Tajikistan.Ms. Abbott-Watt started her diplomatic career in 1974. Her overseas appointments included Belgrade, Kiev, Bonn, and Paris. She also worked in UK Representation in the European Union, as well as European Union Department and Western European Department of the FCO.
Thorda Abbott-Watt is a member of the Institute of Contemporary Arts and a life member of the National Art Collections Fund.
Timothy Aidan Marschall Jones (1999–2002)
Timothy Jones entered the diplomatic service on graduating from Christ's College, Cambridge in 1984. He was Deputy Head of Mission in Tehran from 1996 to 1999, and Ambassador to Armenia from 1999 to 2002.Dr John Edward Mitchiner (1997–1999)
John Mitchiner obtained both M.A. and Ph.D. from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University. He joined diplomatic service in 1980; following assignments in Istanbul, New Delhi and Berne he was appointed HM Ambassador to Armenia in 1997. In 2000, he became the British Deputy High Commissioner Kolkata. He has traveled extensively throughout India, the Middle East and South - East Asia.He is the author of numerous articles on Indian history and religion.
David Miller (1995-1997)
David Miller, who was the first resident British Ambassador to Armenia, arrived in Yerevan in July 1995. Previously the Ambassador in Moscow had been cross-accredited.The UK recognised Armenia on 31 December 1991 and diplomatic relations were established soon afterwards.
