Celebrating success with local partners (29/05/2009)
On May 29 the British Embassy projects team together with partners from Smart Systems, Armenian PR Association, Theatre for Changes NGO, as well as sound editors, cartoonists and designers celebrated the success of jointly developed computer game, that won FCO’s prestigious Innovation Award.
In March 2009 Naira Sultanyan, BE Yerevan’s Political and Projects Officer, and Bela Dallakyan, Project Support Officer, won the Innovation award for developing a groundbreaking computer game called 'Play Democracy, Make It Reality'. Produced to promote political awareness among young people before Armenia's presidential elections, the game allowed players to run as candidates in a virtual presidential race.
Naira said: "Thanks to everyone who contributed to this success. This is an excellent result of an excellent teamwork. We all hope that the game motivates and inspires young people to promote democratic values in Armenia."
